Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure
There is no advertising on SoftenerCheck today, and no affiliate links. The site currently earns nothing. This page states that plainly now, and will be updated before that changes — not after.
Accurate as of September 3, 2026.
Current status

Why this page exists before there is anything to disclose
Because a disclosure written after the money starts is worth less than one written before. This page is the record of what SoftenerCheck committed to while it earned nothing, so you can hold it to that later.
If advertising is introduced
SoftenerCheck may add advertising to cover hosting and research time. If it does, these rules apply and this page will be updated to say which network is running and when it started.
- Advertising will be clearly distinguishable from guidance. Ads will be labelled and visually separated. Nothing will be styled to resemble our own content, our tables, or our source blocks.
- No ads inside a calculation or a diagnostic step. Nothing will be placed between a calculator's inputs and its result, between a question in the diagnosis flow and its answer, or inside a safety warning.
- Advertisers get no influence over content. No advertiser will review, approve, commission or veto anything published here. Which sources we cite and what we conclude will not depend on who is buying inventory.
- Space is reserved in advance. The layout already reserves room where ads would go, so introducing them will not make the page jump while you are reading it.
- Consent comes first in regulated regions. A consent management platform will be operating for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland before advertising is enabled for those regions.
- The policies get updated in the same release. The privacy policy and cookie policy will describe the actual cookies and data flows before the first ad is served, not afterwards.
What will not change either way
The editorial rules do not have a commercial exception. Technical claims stay traceable to primary documentation, procedures stay scoped to the equipment they were written for, and the safety limits stay where the manufacturers put them. Advertising pays for the work; it does not shape it. That commitment is set out in full in the editorial policy.
